More than 125,631 Native Hawaiians are signed-up with the official Roll and committed to bringing the Native Hawaiian people together and rebuild the Native Hawaiian Nation. At this time, the Roll is now closed. Over the coming days, the number of sign-ups will rise as paper applications received before the registration deadline are entered into the Roll. Please check back to see the updated registration numbers.
Over the next few weeks, the Native Hawaiian Roll Commission staff will process applications and work to confirm ancestry.
The Office of Hawaiian Affairs has developed an ambitious timeline for bringing the Native Hawaiian people together. It hopes to have Native Hawaiians vote for delegates by the end of September. These delegates will convene an ʻaha (convention) and develop governing documents. The convention is expected to take place around October and November. By January, OHA plans to have qualified Native Hawaiians vote to approve or disapprove those governing documents.
As Commission staff process applications, we humbly encourage you to check your status. If your status is listed as pending, take the action to submit documents that the Commission staff can use to process your registration. Please take the time to also update your contact information. Doing this will make it easier to keep you updated with the next steps in the process.
