Lilikalā Kameʻeleihiwa is a professor of Hawaiian Culture and History with expertise in Hawaiian Ancestral Knowledge. She is also a senior professor and the current director of the Kamakakūokalani Center for Hawaiian Studies at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa where she has taught Hawaiian culture and history for nearly 30 years. She believes in education for the nation to keep the Hawaiian identity alive. As an early citizen of Ka Lāhui Hawaiʻi, she participated in three Ka Lāhui Hawaiʻi constitutional conventions and was an elected official representing Oʻahu to the Ka Lāhui Hawaiʻi legislature for many years.
