NHRC Chair Governor John Waiheʻe Responds to Questions by “Judicial Watch”

Judicial Watch, a politically conservative, nonpartisan government watchdog group known for using litigation as its primary tool, filed an Application For An Order Allowing Inspection of Public Records against the Roll Commission in hasty efforts to get their hands on the “enrollment list” of Native Hawaiians.

This legal action was taken despite the Commission making it clear that the official list is not yet complete and once it is complete and certified, it will be a public list. Commission Chair, Governor John Waiheʻe sat an interview with Jim Mendoza of Hawaiʻi News Now, responding to some of the claims, questions and concerns being raised.
